PLASTIC WRAP

• Keep the plastic wrap on your tattoo for a maximum of 2 hours.

• Remove the plastic wrap gently from the tattooed area.

• After removing the plastic wrap, clean the tattoo twice a day for 3-4 weeks with anti-bacterial soap (Gold Dial Soap is the best). Pat the area dry with a clean paper towel or let it air dry. Once the area is dry, moisturize the area with a thin layer of unscented, regular lotion (such as Lubriderm, Aveeno, or Cerave).

• Avoid picking, scratching or touching your tattoo during the healing process (especially when it gets to the scabby phase). Doing this may pull up some of the ink of the new tattoo or cause an infection.

SECOND SKIN

• You can keep the second skin bandage on your tattoo for 3-5 days. If you feel like you’re having a reaction or experience discomfort with the bandage, you can take it off sooner. Please do not go over 5 days.

• The bandage is waterproof so you can shower with it on but do not submerge the bandage under water (such as taking a bath or going swimming).

• Remove the bandage under warm, running water. Slowly peel away the bandage and do not rip it off quickly - doing so will hurt and may pull up some of the ink of the new tattoo.

GENERAL AFTERCARE

• Do not take baths, go swimming or go to the beach after getting a new tattoo for at least 4 weeks - doing so may lead to an infection.

• Please try to avoid direct sunlight and make sure to wear sunscreen once the tattoo is fully healed.
